Started lessons in july just 30 minutes every friday with a piano teacher and practicing in the book every day at home on a keyboard. i have just now successfully made it through this book and it is the most important resource i have that helped me get to where i am now.. I want to learn how to listen to someone without instantly enforcing my own counter argument maybe for most people this is just a basic courtesy, but i find one of my biggest problems is about listening to criticism or an argument against myself without responding before the case is made.. Actually, it can be helpful to do so, rather than adjust to the action of a piano. so, can i learn piano on a keyboard? if you do want to change to a piano at some stage, a keyboard is fine to learn the basics on. you can get the fundamentals pegged before you move on to piano, at which point, a little bit of an adjustment should be enough to.

Midi keyboard to learn piano (beginner) hey, so i was thinking of getting a midi keyboard to help me with writing chord progressions/melodies but i also want to learn how to play piano on it. i started learning (very briefly) on an expensive acoustic upright piano while the owners were overseas but that's gone now.. I started piano lessons just before my 41st birthday. as long as i practice daily and make sure i pay attention to the lessons, i am learning. maybe i wont learn as fast as a kid, but i will learn. i am not going to let anyone tell me what i can or cannot do, age be damned..
